MARIE-CLAUDE NADEAU

Marie-Claude is a Partner in the San Francisco office of McKinsey & Company. She leads McKinsey’s Digital Payments service line for North America. Since she first joined the firm in the Montreal office in the summer of 2007, and after her return in 2009, she served clients in Payments, Financial Services and Technology on a broad range of topics, including strategy, loyalty marketing, and risk management. She also co-leads the Firm’s research on Women in the Workplace in partnership with LeanIn.Org.

Marie-Claude is a frequent author and speaker on Digital Payments and Loyalty topics, including in Forbes and HBR online, and at InnoTribe New York. Her recent work includes developing the business strategy for a global payments company; designing approaches to mobile-enabled payments and responses to trends such as cryptocurrency and social commerce; developing the business case for a technology giant to enter the digital wallet space; and crafting a consumer marketing and CRM strategy for a digital payments player.

Marie-Claude received her Masters degree in Technology and Policy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where she did research in operations strategy in collaboration with General Motors R&D. She also received a B. Eng. in electrical engineering from McGill University.
